]]> Xenon Students head to New York City!

We have 43 students and staff making there way to the BIG APPLE tomorrow for education and fun.  They will have all afternoon/evening the day they arrive, 3 evenings and the morning before they leave to explore New York City.  They may visit the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, Soho Shopping District, Little Italy, Central Park,Times Square or an abundance of eateries and street vendors!

For two days they will be at the Matrix Academy in Soho for an excellent educational program designed especially for our Xenon Academy students!  We have current students coming from Omaha & Grand Island in  Nebraska and Aurora, Colorado.  We are all ready for a FUN/EDUCATIONAL weekend.

Powder refresh 01 by Redken is an aerosol dry shampoo that absorbs oil from unwashed hair. This product sprays on like a powder and smells minty and fresh. Powder refresh 01 helps with the excess oiliness that we experience in the summer months and allows you to go an extra day without washing. This product is a must have after a summer workout or sporting event. If you accidentally spray too much of the Powder refresh 01 in your hair it will look dull, but don’t worry, it brushes right out leaving the hair shiny and manageable.

This product is also great for those who are unable to wash their hair often due to illness, injury or lack of mobility.

Being an educator at Xenon is definitely a rewarding career. The students keep me on my toes on a daily basis.  Not only am I teaching them the knowledge I have acquired over the years, they teach me something new and challenge my ways of thinking every day!  They are a great group of students, who not only do their best to learn, but keep me laughing all day long.  Each and every one of them brings something unique to our school, which is what makes it fun.  Being a Xenon graduate myself, it is exciting to be on the other side of things, and be able to share my love for this industry with all of them!

 Caresse  is a Junior at Xenon Academy in Denver. Caresse’s favorite class is Junior Women’s haircutting. “All of our classes are amazing, but haircutting is so important in our industry. All of our instructors go into real depth about the benefits of each hair cut we do. They also teach us how to factor in a person’s hair color, texture, and density and how that effects the end result. I feel so confident and strong in my abilities because of the staff at Xenon.” Said Caresse.

Junior cutting is a favorite among many of our students. As Juniors they have a strong grasp on the basics of haircutting and love the challenges of learning more advanced techniques. We are fortunate to have a school with a large client base that allows the students to work on clients rather than mannequins.

]]> Coolest Thing I’ve Learned At Xenon

The most interesting thing I’ve learned about here at Xenon is the Ion Cleanse.  When I learned that you could soak your feet in a clear water footbath and have it comfortably rid your body of toxins and rejuvenate aging organs and glands I was skeptical of the results.  After practicing on a few of my classmates I decided to do more research.  Even though the Ion Cleanse doesn’t treat, prevent, cure or diagnose any diseases, it does help circulate positive energy in the body and cleanse your system of environmental and body toxins.  The different colors the water can turn during the process is caused by what specific things are being drawn from your body like joint toxins, liver toxins, mucous from the lymph system and blood clot materials to name a few.  This was so interesting to me because of the outcomes my clients have felt afterwards.  It’s definitely “you need to see to believe” type of service.
